A wider range of practice areas across Surrey, BC.
Our office is in South Surrey, about 16 kilometres from Surrey City Centre and Whalley. We're not going to pretend that's around the corner. What we offer clients across City Centre, Guildford, Newton, Fleetwood, Cloverdale, and South Surrey is a wider range of practice areas under one roof, with consultations available in English, Hindi, Urdu, and Punjabi.
Being honest about distance.
Surrey is a large city, and City Centre, Guildford, Newton, and Fleetwood all sit well north of our South Surrey office, roughly 16 kilometres away. If proximity is what matters most to you, that's a genuine drive, not a quick trip across town, and we'd rather say so than pretend otherwise.
What we offer instead is breadth: one firm handling immigration, family law, criminal defence, business law, real estate, and wills and estates, in the languages many Surrey clients actually think in.
We're also open Monday to Friday until 7 p.m., which matters if a drive from City Centre or Guildford has to happen after a workday instead of in the middle of one.

The communities across Surrey we work with.
Surrey is really six distinct communities, each with its own character:
City Centre (Whalley)
Surrey's downtown core, home to Surrey City Hall, two universities, and four SkyTrain stations, currently transforming into a denser, transit-oriented centre.
Guildford
A growing residential area east of City Centre, anchored by one of the province's larger shopping centres.
Newton
Surrey's most populous and culturally diverse community, and where a large share of our immigration and family law clients live.
Fleetwood
Surrey's newest town centre, primarily residential, centrally located between the others.
Cloverdale
A mix of historic and newer development, home to the Museum of Surrey and a well-known historic main street.
South Surrey
Our own neighbourhood; see our dedicated South Surrey and White Rock page for the full detail.
Multilingual legal help, not just English.
Punjabi was the third most commonly reported ethnic origin in Surrey in the 2021 census, at about 49,065 people, 8.7% of the city's population. Many of the clients we work with in Newton, Guildford, and City Centre are more comfortable discussing a legal problem in Punjabi, Hindi, or Urdu than in English, particularly when the details are personal or time-sensitive.
We offer consultations in English, Hindi, Urdu, and Punjabi, so the specifics of your situation don't get lost in translation on top of everything else you're already dealing with.
Which court serves Surrey.
Surrey Provincial Court, at 14340 57 Avenue, Surrey, BC V3X 1B2, handles criminal, family, small claims, traffic, and youth matters for all of Surrey, along with Delta, Langley, and White Rock. The public registry is open Monday to Friday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
For BC Supreme Court matters, including larger civil claims, contested family law proceedings, and probate, the nearest registry is the New Westminster Law Courts at 651 Carnarvon Street, New Westminster, BC V3M 1C9.
Because Surrey Provincial Court sits in City Centre itself, clients from Guildford, Newton, and Fleetwood are often closer to that courthouse than we are, and we work around that: filing, disclosure review, and case preparation happen on our end, while court appearances are scheduled around your matter, not our commute.
Practice areas that come up most often across Surrey.
City Centre, Guildford, Newton, and Fleetwood bring a different mix of legal needs than South Surrey, shaped by a younger, more diverse, and more transit-connected population.
Immigration law
A significant share of our immigration files, including sponsorship, permanent residence, and refugee matters, come from clients in Newton, Guildford, and City Centre, often in Punjabi, Hindi, or Urdu as much as English.
Family law
Separation, divorce, and parenting disputes come up across every part of Surrey, not just one neighbourhood, and often involve extended family and property considerations that a generic template agreement won't cover.
Criminal defence
Surrey Provincial Court sits in City Centre, and criminal matters arising anywhere in Surrey, from a first offence to a more serious charge, are heard there.
Business and commercial law
City Centre's growth as Surrey's downtown core brings a steady stream of new and growing businesses needing contracts, leases, and corporate structuring as they scale up.
